Your Mindset Determines What’s Next! Personal Branding Starts There! ~Crystal_MBA
Too many times we decide we want to do or become something or someone “special”…
but often we have the wrong mentality. So, we set off going about our day, plans, goals, etc. in the wrong direction. We get this thought or a myriad of thoughts, but we don’t think them out fully and completely. It is not enough to just have a goal or a dream. I have found myself, more times than I would like to admit, coming up with ideas but not fully developing a plan to reach the goal. Don’t get me wrong, I’m not knocking the ideas or even saving that they were bad. Ideas will always come, because they always have! First, weighing the pros and the cons thoroughly is critical. We must understand the reality of things, meaning seeing things for what they are, then focusing on what needs to be done within a positive spectrum.
This is “The Mindset” …
“The Mind is Everything. What You Think, You Become.” ~ Buddha
Regardless of what the reality is , when you are in the right mindset you can think clearly and make rational decisions based on your evaluation of the reality of things. What you think you become, so in making decisions, coming up with ideas, defining goals and setting a plan, you have to be in the right mindset. If moving forward into a plan is the ultimate goal. This goal must be positive. You cannot have ulterior motives. I find that I have to check myself and my motives often because if I don’t keep those in check I can be thrown completely off the path. So, you have to ask yourself questions on a regular basis like:
- Is this included in my goals?
- Is this positive?
- Will this matter in five years?
- Will this help me reach my goals?
- Is this how want people to remember me?
Keep in mind that what you’re thinking and what you are doing is what others will see. Even if your thoughts are not shared they can often be displayed in your actions. If your personal brand it is important to you and to your career, then Your Mindset factor doubles!
As a part of your personal brand strategy,
getting into the right mindset for your reputation plays a critical role in your dreams, your goals, plans, who you want to be, and how you want to be portrayed. Not only do you need the desire to reach your goals, you need The Mindset, the focus, the force, and driving power that keeps you going in order to see your dreams true!

Branding is more than your logo, color palette, and company name. Branding is about what solution you provide that works for your targeted customer(s) and whether or not your customer is satisfied, returns for repeat service, and refers your service to others.
It is about how you make your customer feel before, during and after their transaction with you, your company, and the service they receive.
Your brand is the message you want to portray about your business – what your mission is and what you want to come to mind when a customer hears, sees, or says anything pertaining to your company.
What should be your goals when creating and developing your brand? There are several objectives you want to meet to have a successful brand. Here’s what you need to remember:
- Your logo, color palette, website, business cards, and any other marketing materials should be consistent across the board.
- Develop a marketing plan that will give you high visibility within your target market
- Personalize your marketing
- Provide solutions to your customer’s problems
- Provide excellent service that is memorable and referable
- Be consistent in your message
